Welcome to my very first blog! I'm Amber Patterson, wife, mom, business owner and stylist. I'm so exited to share all things hair, lifestyle and so much more with you.
Here is a little about me:
I knew at a young age that I wanted to do hair. Although I didn't take the plunge right out of high school I sure am glad I did a few months later. After finishing my phlebotomy program (yes, WAY different than hair) I realized that was NOT at all what I wanted to do with my life. While regretfully returning to my college math class for another boring hour, I decided to pack up my books in the middle of class and drive straight to Paul Mitchell Cosmetology school. That was the day my career started!
I have been doing hair now for about 10 years. A couple of years ago I took the leap to open my own salon in downtown Vacaville, Salon Bijou. I am so very proud of the great energy our team has created within the salon. Helping my clients feel beautiful and gain their confidence back is what I strive for. I have a crazy passion for extensions. There is nothing more satisfying than an amazing NBR hair transformation.
While my work life is nothing short of gratifying, my personal life is definitely something I am proud of. I am married to the most supportive, handsome and amazing husband. (Fun fact: we got married in Mexico and opened the salon two days after returning from our wedding. EEK!) We have been blessed with an amazing, healthy little girl. With being home owners, parents and two time business owners, we keep ourselves pretty busy. There is never a dull moment in our lives.
I love getting ready for the day. The feeling of have full hair and make up done with a super cute outfit is totally my jam. On the other side of things, I have a great passion for a healthy lifestyle. I normally spend my mornings waking up before the sun, throwing on my Lululemon leggings and getting a good workout in!
Here, in my blog, you will find everything from my favorite products and hair tutorials to real life momtrepreneur struggles (believe me there are lots of struggles). I plan to post once a week so be sure to check back here for the latest blog posts! Thank you for coming by.
See you next time,
